Dental clinic maintenance: a look behind the scenes
Did you know that, in order to provide patients with quality care, a dental clinic must be equipped with a wide range of equipment? For each piece of equipment, the dentist must check that it’s working properly and take care of its maintenance to ensure a smooth working environment in the clinic.
This includes sterilization equipment. Sterilization machines are an integral part of a dental clinic to eliminate any bacteria or viruses on the instruments used on our patients. There are strict standards for sterilization management in dental practices, so it’s important to ensure that all related equipment is properly maintained.
X-ray equipment is also included. At Clinique dentaire Beaulieu, Lapointe et associés, we have a panoramic radiography system that gives us an overall view of our patients’ dentition. We also have an X-ray system with a digital sensor, which enables us to obtain small, more precise X-rays of certain areas of the mouth. These devices require regular maintenance to ensure their long-term operability.
In dentist’s and hygienist’s rooms, water is essential for cleaning and treating patients’ teeth. This is why we have water distillers to provide demineralized, bacteria-free water that can be safely used in our patients’ mouths. The dental units in each room are also an essential piece of equipment in any dental clinic, and must be well maintained to provide safe and effective care.
Maintaining a dental clinic is essential to the overall success of the practice. The equipment that enables us to work every day is fundamental and represents a considerable investment in providing our patients with dental services of the highest standard.
